Product Description
The selection of materials for car door handles needs to consider multiple factors, including durability, design flexibility, cost-effectiveness, ease of processing, and decorative appearance. Here are some commonly used materials and their characteristics:
PC/ABS alloy material: combines the high strength and heat resistance of PC with the ease of processing and electroplating performance of ABS. This material has high impact resistance, strength, and rigidity, which can effectively absorb impact energy, reduce the risk of handle damage, and extend the service life. In addition, PC/ABS is not easily deformed in outdoor high-temperature environments, maintains good mechanical properties in low-temperature environments, is suitable for injection molding, has stable finished product dimensions, is easy to electroplate, and has consistent color and batch differences.
PA (Nylon): PA has good mechanical properties, but its electroplating performance and water absorption are the two major challenges in its application in door handles. In markets that require high tensile strength, such as Germany, electroplated PA is widely used in car door handles.
Long glass fiber reinforced PP (LGF-PP): This material has high rigidity and strength, and is usually used for structural components that require metal substitution, such as spare tire compartments, seat frames, door modules, etc.
