The bonnet cover is a very important part around the engine of a car, which not only plays a role in protecting the engine and related components, but also has an important impact on the vehicle's appearance, aerodynamic performance, thermal insulation, safety and other aspects. In the selection of materials, it is necessary to consider the material's light weight, heat resistance, long-term heat aging resistance, oil resistance, rigidity, impact strength, dimensional stability and cost and other factors.
The following materials are currently selected for the bonnet cover:
Glass fibre reinforced PA (GF-PA): this material is suitable for the bonnet cover of medium and high-end models, with excellent high temperature and aging resistance, as well as good mechanical properties and chemical stability.
Long Glass Fibre Reinforced PP (LFT-PP): this material is inexpensive, has excellent performance, outstanding mechanical properties and high dimensional stability, is a cost-effective choice for medium and high-end models.
